(More customer reviews)I bought my Skil Model # 3320-01 drill press a few weeks ago and I am happy with my purchase. I was looking for something affordable, its purpose would not see industrial use so this press compared to various models by Delta, Jet, Central Machinery etc. fit the need for me.
What I liked was the fact that the contents were all there and the press was actually packed very well. Nothing is worse than trying to get parts that are suppose to be there but mine was complete. There is however a couple of things that might raise an eyebrow but is easily solved:
1) The drill press head pressed plate that receives the motor plate was not flat so the Motor Pulley and Spindle Pulley would not align. I took the press head plate to a nearby metal shop and they flattened it (took two seconds) for free - solved.
2) Maybe I'm being nit-picky but the laser can be touchy to adjust - it works. The battery compartment for the laser is also plastic so be tender with it.
In my opinion, it is a very good drill press. The press is more quiet than I thought and the workings very smooth. It may not have the power others have but if your patient and use sharp bits you'll be pressed to beat the price.
