(More customer reviews)This is a terrific little press. It's only 1/2 ton but what's a thousand pounds between friends? The 1k press is almost twice the price. I bought it to use as a fret press on mandolins and guitars. Terrific. The only problem is the odd size of the dropping column (I don't know the term). It's a little thin to make adapters for.

(More customer reviews)This unit is compact. And looks like it will last us a long time. Make sure you understand what comes in the case and what does not. The 1/2 Drill chucks had to purchased elsewhere and were not in stock at all locations. So plan ahead and be patient. THis unit is excellent for field repairs and in house repairs that require odd angle drilling.
